Bird's Eye View: Thursday, May 5, 2010- Today's Market Crash
By John Mugarian - May 6, 03:05 PM

"You know what the news is-- in a minute, you're going to hear the rest of the story"- Paul Harvey
On Monday, I told you the stock market is different today. I said, you have to play the game differently. It's a "Hokey Pokey" market.
Here are the lyrics;
You put your money in,
You take your money out;
You put it in the bank until another shake out.
You do the Hokey-Pokey,
And wait ...

IPO of the Year.
By Natalie Pace - March 4, 08:03 AM

|
Yes.
There is one, and yes, I’m excited about it.
If you had the opportunity
to bank on the guy who funded Google, Yahoo and Paypal before their IPOs, would
you? Would you want to know anything more about the company, or would you just
rush out and place your order?
Michael J. Moritz has
served on the board of directors of my IPO of the Year since February 2003. As...

Picking
the Pickers
Is Tobin Smith really as good as he says?
Is John Bollinger marveled at for a reason? Is past performance possibly an
indicator of future performance after all?

TipsTraders.com records,
monitors and evaluates public long and short investing recommendations from
renowned experts on stocks, options, ETF's and Mutual Funds.
The methodology is strictly mathematical and hence unbiazed.
We have currently tracked
42,682 recommendations from
928
Tipsters. Results are updated and published after every trading session.
The core idea is that professional stock market analysts and investment advisors will
naturally try to look their best
when marketing themselves in the media, on open access websites, or
through free newsletters. Public stock recommendations can therefore be
expected to represent the very best an investment advisor has to offer.
The aim
is to identify the Tipsters, for which this is a valid assumption,
and whose stock picks trade particularly well under our rigid swing trading methodology.
This then leads to compilation of the "Member Portfolio".
Using simple mathematics to
trigger trades eliminates any risk of falling in love with a stock or
struggling with sentiment and psychology. However, it also eliminates the
deployment of common sense and stock trading rules. You should therefore view
the quoted returns as an expression of the minimum value of the offered
recommendation. With a little flair you should be able do a lot better!
|
Our approach clearly favours short-term swing
trades over long-term investments. The shows and newsletters feature
only a small portion of the stocks picked by the Tipsters, and we make no
claims that every entry is actually a long or short recommendation at
the exact date of entry. To benefit fully from the Tipsters' insight and
experience you might be well advised to subscribe to some of their
services. Then again, considering the performance of our Member
Portfolio you might save the cost and stay right here.
Most stock analysts appreciate our efforts. Some embrace the opportunity to
promote their advisory services and submit stock recommendations directly. A few resent
us and would probably rather see us shut down. And some do not want to
own up to their trading history and have discontinued their free services.
That is not for us to decide.
We record. You decide.
Good luck!
M. Samler
